Final Report

Situation: Riverbend – Sanction of Al Ana demon spawn. Rescued human babies at Riverbend Temple to Kempin revealed to be demon spawn of Al Ana.

Captain Todd of the Northern Army of Othamar requested aid of Survey Team 13(ST13) in tracking down and dispatching the demon spawn at three locations: Murs d’Fer, Vezelay and Pessac.

Brief: Three of three locations are cleansed.

• 5 demon spawn of Al ana at Temple of Po in Murs d’Fer eliminated
• 1 demon spawn of Al ana at Mayor’s residence in Vezelay eliminated.
• Al ana water demon and 2 demon spawn in vicinity of mining camp eliminated.

Detail:

• ST13 Travelled with haste to the town of Murs D’Fer
  • Proceeded directly to Temple of Po and located demon spawn.
  • Prevented from inspecting demon spawn and continuing mission by temple priests and guards.
  • Postponed cleansing temple and infected inhabitants at request of Priest of Po assigned to ST13 by Army of Othamar.
  • Possibility of influence of Al Ana having already infiltrated temple postulated.
  • Local priests reported in morning that they had killed the demon spawns and that ST13 didn’t need to worry about it any longer.
  • Valorson confirmed original holding area was clear of demon spawn.
  • Sympos visually confirmed destruction of demon spawn and disposed of corpses to eliminate necromantic threat or further corruption.
  • Possibility of influence of Al Ana having already infiltrated temple deemed not sufficient reason to delay travelling to next infestation.
  • Priest of Po assigned to ST13 by Army of Othamar departed.

• ST13 Moved with haste to the town of Vezelay
  • Intel reported that Mayor and wife had adopted child.
  • Proceeded directly to Mayor’s residence.
  • Informed representative of estate of situation.
  • Assistance and introduction to Mayor was quick.
  • Situation explained.
  • Demon spawn eliminated.

• ST13 headed to mining town of Pessac
• ST13 members Aed and Gabriel return to Riverbend.
• Shade, Sympos and Valorson continued to target.
  • Encountered merchant fleeing town confirming infestation and resistance.
  • Proceeded to and entered town of Pessac
    • Large vines running through streets and into buildings similar to Riverbend infestation.
  • Surrounded and attacked by seven clawed scarecrow like creatures.
    • Similar creatures present at Riverbend infestation.
    • Creatures eliminated.
  • Proceeded to town store and entered general store
    • Encountered Mr Raslaad who provided intel.
    • Location of homes demon spawn were placed in and source of vines obtained.
      • Vines coming from mines
      • One demon spawn delivered to Roberts family
      • One demon spawn delivered to Smarn family.
  • ST13 proceeded towards primary mine entrance
  • Encounter ten townsfolk who had assaulted mines.
    • All injured from assault on mine.
      • Ten left from twenty-five.
    • Sympos healed half of them.
      • ST13 healing capacity maxs at five people.
    • Valorson explained situation, expected opponent and ST13s experience in battling servants of Al ana.
      • Informs locals who have been healed that their assistance will not be turned down, but is also not expected.
    • Miner Simon provided map to bottom chamber that avoided vines.
      • Stayed behind to help the wounded.
    • Butcher Tom, Max, Byron, Jordy and Finlo volunteered to assist ST13 in assault on demon of Al ana.
      • Almost tripled the amount of oil ST13 had to use on expected demon

• • ST13 and able townsfolk entered mine and took route advised by miner Simon.
    • Successfully avoided contact with minions of Al-ana.
    • Arrived at bottom chamber and behind demon of Al-ana without being detected.
    • Vines coming from chamber with demon were roughly half the size of the ones that were encountered in Riverbend. Largest ones were three feet in diameter.
  • St13 and townsfolk assault demon with fire
    • Rolled and threw eight barrels of oil at demon
    • Three with fuses all exploded as planned.
    • Additional flammables and ranged attacks launched at demon
    • Damage to pillars supporting chamber ceiling showing noticeable damage.
  • Spell used to drive away demon in Riverbend was not successful in driving this incarnation away. Two attempts.
  • Ranged fire and additional flammables used on supporting pillars.
    • Pillars began cracking and splitting.
    • ST13 and townsfolk retreat from chamber to tunnel used for entry.
    • Chamber collapsed on burning demon of Al-ana.
  • Waited for dust to settle and inspected entrance to chamber.
    • Chamber appeared completely collapsed.
      • Opinion of the townsfolk, of whom three were miners.
      • Back entrance used to access chamber completely blocked.
    • Travelled up tunnel to cross section with large vines.
      • Infestation Vines had already started withering.
      • Followed vines to second entrance to chamber
        • 2^nd entrance completely blocked.
        • Chamber appears completely collapsed from this side.
  • Escorted townsfolk back out of mines and to town.
    • Injured townsfolk assisted.
    • Raslaad notified of success
  • Proceeded to Roberts family residence.
    • Discovered mutated demon spawn had merged with other humans, presumably Roberts family members
    • Demon spawn eliminated
  • Proceeded to Smarn Family residence.
    • Discovered mutated demon spawn had merged with other humans, presumably Smarn family members.
    • Demon spawn eliminated.
• St13 will stay in Pessac to instruct townsfolk on how to look for and destroy remnants.
  • • Train locals to recognize and destroy vines.
    • Complete full inspection of town.

Final Summary: Mission successful.Expected and unexpected targets eliminated. Where Survey Team 13 received assistance or cooperation from locals progress and elimination of demon spawn threat proceeded with haste. Where Survey Team 13 received harassment or resistance from locals infestation was allowed to spread and lives were lost.
