Adamn Message 1

My Good Friend Captain Marush,

Our problems with the Veridian Government have become inescapable and I fear we have little time left. Word will get out soon and I regret that I was not able to offer you more than a few weeks early access to the plans, so their backup location, along with the motherload of salvage sites containing the parts you’ll need to update your armada, and perhaps sell, are my “gifts” to you.

Forge: 15° 40' 3.7524'' N24° 41' 24.8604'' E

Land ship on saddle. Use cavalry. Descend west side of saddle, follow grav car washout trail to site of battle with bugs(ranged acid based weapons). Breached cruiser has emergency power in engineering section and full plans and schematics for spike drive. Further exploration of area to find more ships recommended. Potential for hundreds of ships encased in rocks. Many with salvageable spike drive components.

Special Consideration:

• Precision laser cutters capable of penetrating Hull Plating needed.
• AOE weaponry for bug swarms and other hostile fauna needed.
• Increased noise and vibration attracts hostiles.
• Local authorities seem to have disregarded areas potential.

My apologies for not staying in touch with you and the Order Fratrum Minorum. Perhaps foolishly, in my youth I decided that I would check in when I had something to report and that has only recently occurred. I’m pleased to report that I have succeeded in advancing our primary goal. We can finally return to the stars. The plans for building a spike drive are attached.

*I’m going with there is a concept in the OEE that a priest who travels between systems is a “Starfather” and no one from Zeta Prime has qualified in centuries. Adamn will start using the title once we’re in another system.*

Tony,

Please accept this list of the 9 components needed to build a spike drive. Rumor is the plans on how to assemble them will be released through public channels in the near future. Quite a price spike is incoming, I imagine. My apologies for not being able to give you more than a head start, but if you’re receiving this message, chances are my fate is sealed. Perhaps in the next life, but should we ever meet again, all I will ask is a favor of comparable scope and scale…and a drink.
